About 250 South Oak Way
This project renewed key spaces within the 250 South Oak Way office building along with the provision of upgraded external landscaping and wayfinding to the adjacent Lime Square.
A key part of the brief was to make the existing dark and uninviting rear entrance to the building more welcoming. Existing imposing planting was removed from the central axis and replaced with new feature paving leading to the entrance with bright, low-level planting beds either side. A single-storey extension to the reception has been created and the façade clad in interlinked bronze shingles. These features have been adapted within the other external spaces, with a bronze clad canopy highlighting the existing front entrance and feature paving providing wayfinding throughout Lime Square.
Internal alterations bring light and energy to a tired atrium. Break-out spaces within the new extension are provided with lounge seating and hot desking introducing inhabitable areas. Modifications highlight movement within the atrium with a segment of the existing stair wall opened up and new linear light fittings ringing the walkways. White gloss and charred timber fins focus activity visible through the stair and provide screening to the break-out areas. Bright limestone flooring defines the high-traffic reception area with oak parquet flooring characterising the break-out spaces.
2,080 m2 of CAT A office space has been refurbished and modernised. The ground floor office features exposed perimeter services and a central raft with the existing soffit sprayed out as a semi-industrial finish.
