Originally built in 1899, Mortimer Street is at the heart of Fitzrovia, located on the southern side of Mortimer Street in the East Marylebone Conservation area.
The refurbishment of the building encompasses a new roof extension that creates a duplex penthouse office suite and is enclosed in a double mansard roof facing Mortimer Street and aluminium clad glazed elevations to the rear. This mansard elevation presents a continuous elevation to the street that also creates a generous, green terrace that features a built in covered seating and is home to multiple species of plants, attracting pollinators to the area.
Other interventions also include a characterful fully fitted office space on the second floor, light refurbishment of the building entrance and reception and staircores.
The scheme achieved BREEAM Excellent and WELL Gold enabled for both the refurbishment and fit out works.
