About 60 Charlotte Street

Our refurbishment of this prominent 1970s office building has mixed the refinement of its Fitzrovia surroundings with the rawness of the original concrete structure.

We have completely transformed the existing entrance, doubling the size of the reception and creating a much better visual connection with the street. The main staircase has been opened up to the space, creating an elegant focal point and giving an enhanced sense of height and space. A simple but refined palette of materials is warmed by an oak floor and lush planting.

The office floors have been stripped back to their frames and now the original structure, as well as modifications made over the years, is on show. Exposed services help to celebrate the structure and retain a sense of height and space. The whole ceiling installation has been whitewashed to bring visual consistency and is contrasted with sleek black lighting. Enhancements to the WC and fresh air provision have taken occupancy from 1:10 to 1:8 throughout.

New terrace areas at third floor have been created to provide valuable amenity to the building and to make the most of the quiet, leafy outlook.

WCs at all levels, common parts, and commuter facilities have been enhanced and draw on the design of the reception with monochrome fixtures and fittings and bespoke signage.
