25 Charterhouse Square

The 12,000ft2 fit-out has 360 degree views overlooking London and consists of an arrivals lounge, a fully operational bar, a 1,000ft2 pitch room, open plan desking, meeting rooms, coffee bars, collaboration spaces and a central staircase linking the two floors. The space contains 75% informal working areas which allows all 140 employees to choose the way they work on a daily basis dependent on mood, task and interaction with others.

The space is characterised by a contrast of raw and cooked finishes. The staircase is constructed from raw lacquered steel and clad in rough cut scaffold boards with mesh balustrades. The rough edge of the concrete slab is exposed alongside new steel beams. Meeting rooms are separated by clean crittall style glazed partitions whilst break out spaces reference colour tones from the faience façade of the nearby Fox and Anchor pub. There are other references to local context and history through artwork displayed in the collaboration areas, notably the bones mural, which refers to the ancient plague burial site of Charterhouse Square.
