We are a close-knit team excited about the world around us. Nurturing and inclusive, we put people first and take nothing as given.
Barr Gazetas is an equal opportunity and London Living Wage Employer. We offer our people a fantastic benefits package and actively engage with all roles to provide clear career and skills progression. With flexible work and core hours, we carefully balance the need for in-person design sessions, reviews, workshops and presentations, with focus time at home.
Barr Gazetas offer work experience opportunities to school students, paid internships to architecture students at all levels, and extensive support to those staff working towards completing their studies while working full or part time. Our interns gain experience through working on live projects and are paid for their valued contributions. We provide financial and mentoring support to those within the practice working towards their Part 3 and undertaking either their Part 1 or 2 conversions. We have close ties with the University of Westminster, University of Greenwich, Anglia Ruskin University, and the RIBA Student Mentoring Scheme and in addition to these partnerships, we welcome individual work experience and internship applications. Barr Gazetas' understands the importance of developing the knowledge and skills of our staff. We do this through a training plan that includes mentoring, comprehensive CPD and Genius Hours, internal skills training programme and open talks for knowledge sharing. In addition, we provide a personal training budget towards training staff's individual needs, and practice-wide group training for important universal skills. As a practice, we enjoy an annual study trip over two days in the summer and encourage team-building tours and gallery visits. We hold memberships to NLA, BCO and other affiliations with access to their programmes of events.
