A strong turnout at the Workspace Design Show London this week - great to see so many people from across the industry coming together to explore the future of the workplace.
Our Managing Director, Jon Eaglesham and Director, Jonathan Allwood took to the stage to share their insights on culture, retrofit and the path to net zero.
On the Sustainability Panel, Jonathan highlighted how quickly attitudes around reuse are shifting:
“Five years ago, reusing steel came with huge concerns around certification and warranty. Now, it’s becoming commonplace. The landscape is changing, and fast.”
He also reinforced that retrofit is no longer a compromise:
“A retrofit space is not a substandard product - particularly in heritage environments, it can create character that’s night and day compared to typical new-build spaces.”
On the Workplace Design Panel, Jon reminded us what really matters:
“Good design isn’t optional - but it’s not what makes a workplace succeed. It’s the people inside it.”
A timely reminder that while the physical environment sets the stage, culture, purpose and community are what truly define great workplaces.
Thank you to everyone who joined the discussion and to the organisers for hosting such an insightful event!
