Félicie Krikler appointed as a Director, and Head of Residential
Date: January 25
The start of 2025 marks an exciting milestone at Barr Gazetas, with Félicie Krikler appointed as a new Director and our first ever Head of Residential.
Félicie will lead Barr Gazetas' ambition to become a major player in residential architecture, driving a cross-disciplinary approach that merges the practice's extensive experience in commercial and retrofit sectors with her expertise in residential design. This collaboration creates a unique opportunity to develop innovative solutions across these fields.
Originally from Paris, Félicie is an accomplished architect with both French and British qualifications. Having lived and worked in London for over 20 years, she brings a wealth of experience from her two-decade tenure at Assael Architecture, where she played a pivotal role in numerous large-scale, mixed-use, and mixed-ownership developments, as well as masterplanning projects. Félicie has been integral to the evolution of design in the Build-to-Rent sector and other managed housing models, including later-living and co-living developments.
Recognised as a thought leader in residential architecture, Félicie has led research initiatives focused on wellbeing-centred housing and social value. Her leadership in the industry is also reflected in her roles as a RIBA Council member and judge for prestigious awards like the British Home Awards, Building Awards, and Love to Rent Awards.
In her new role as Director and Head of Residential, Félicie will guide Barr Gazetas' residential projects, combining her vast expertise with the practice’s strengths in commercial and adaptive reuse. This new direction aims to challenge traditional, siloed approaches within the industry, promoting a more integrated and collaborative model of design.
Expanding our expertise into the residential sector aligns with Barr Gazetas' strategic vision for growth. We are committed to creating a more cohesive, cross-disciplinary approach to design and delivery, ensuring innovation across commercial and residential projects. Stay tuned as we embark on this exciting new chapter in our practice, working together to develop a better, more integrated approach to architecture.
