Our team of five headed to Cannes for MIPIM 2025 from 11th–14th March. It was another productive (and quietly exhausting) week, and we were happy to reconnect with familiar faces while forging exciting new relationships.

We find ourselves at a critical juncture in the market, and MIPIM is the perfect setting for exchanging hopes, fears, insights, and perspectives. While uncertainty looms for the year ahead, there’s also a wealth of opportunity on the horizon.

Certain trends are becoming clear, such as the industry’s focus on housebuilding and infrastructure. However, many factors remain subject to the fast-changing political and financial landscape, which is evolving more rapidly than ever!

Barr Gazetas' Head of Residential, Félicie Krikler, penned a thoughtful summary for Building Design magazine. She reflected on how, for her, "this year’s trip was particularly different. Starting at a new practice meant bringing together contacts from different sectors, bridging what can sometimes feel like two separate worlds – commercial and residential. It also meant a lot of introductions, a lot of human stitching to connect people who wouldn’t otherwise meet."
