Architects listen, but do they listen soon enough?

As part of this year’s London Festival of Architecture, we’re hosting a panel discussion that brings together voices from across psychology, design, healthcare, engineering, and neurodiversity.

With ‘Voices’ as this year’s Festival theme, we’re continuing the conversation we began at our inclusive design roundtable in January: Whose voices still aren’t being heard, and who else needs to start listening?

Too often, the lived experiences of neurodivergent individuals, people with disabilities, and cultural minorities are brought into design conversations too late, if at all. Our recent discussions made one thing clear: collaboration is essential, but the circle must grow wider.

The panellists:
- Rob Turpin, Head of Health, BSI
- Dr Katie Gaudion, Senior Research Associate, RCA - Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design
- Delwar Hussain, Wellbeing Psychologist, UCL Associate Professor and Founder of Mindset Architecture
- Fayaz Chagpar, Senior Consultant at Google, Real Estate Design and Delivery
- Jon Eaglesham, Managing Director, Barr Gazetas (Chair)
