“Success in this project came from a people-focused approach, where the client built a strong and collaborative team who were dedicated to designing and delivering high-quality spaces. By using beautiful natural materials, fine detailing and biophilia, we have created an inspiring and harmonious work environment”
Hannah Chalmers-Stevens, Associate Director, Barr Gazetas
Taking on board the brand’s concept, the design is based around refinement and wellbeing. The different materials, textures and furnishings work together to strengthen, support and optimise each dedicated work environment, supporting different working styles. The spaces include open-plan desking, focus rooms, lounge areas and meeting rooms. Additionally, there is a centralised event space for multi-functional use as well as communal areas where people can get together and socialise.
A base natural colour palette forms a solid foundation for the use of genuine materials, refined by craftsmanship or elevated in a harmonious composition. The interior is respectful, with natural tones and a variety of environments that stimulate all five senses, aiming to optimise people’s performance.

Wellbeing
The floors are connected by a circulation staircase spanning the three levels, encouraging staff to walk rather than taking the lift, improving fitness and supporting social interaction.
Materials
Sustainability and wellbeing were the key drivers for the scheme, with a focus on achieving Net Zero Carbon in both construction and operational use. Our focus was to retain as many materials as possible, and where new ones were used, we have chosen natural and sustainable options with cradle-to-cradle certifications. As part of our circular Economy principles, we have retained the existing staircase and repurposed it into a stunning feature connecting all three office floors. Other initiatives include the reuse of raised access flooring, sustainably sourced timber for the joinery and recycled terrazzo throughout.
