Completed: 2010

10 Jamestown Road was given new life by our transformation of a tired 1950s warehouse in the centre of Camden. Extended with new street presence the building continues positively to the streetscape and provides much needed mixed use space.

10 Jamestown Road NW1 was a dilapidated 1950s warehouse in the centre of Camden Lock. The previous forecourt encouraged anti-social problems and created a dead area on a busy, vibrant shopping street. 10 Jamestown Road is now an active, fully let mixed-use development which has undergone several modifications. On the ground floor we extended the front to create high profile restaurant units which will animate the street.

The 1st and 2nd floors occupied by offices and at roof level, an extension and terrace was created to provide 9 residential flats. Vertical bay windows give views of Jamestown Road and create variety for the offices. The 33,000ft2 building has been enlarged by 35% to create a better streetscape in a bustling part of Camden.

The project was phased over 2 years to allow the ground floor retail units to be fitted out ahead of the office and residential use above.
