Through the centuries, Heddon Street has played host to some of history’s more important cultural happenings, unforgettable events and pioneering people. ‘Hidden Heddon’ celebrated the legacy of Ziggy Stardust, the first ever cabaret club in 1920s London and a cinema which premiered the original Disney animation ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ in 1938.
Barr Gazetas also opened its doors to the public to explore some of their projects and their hidden memories, including a time capsule buried at Greenwich Market and a 13th century monastery doorway discovered at Carter Lane near St. Pauls. At the back of the studio on a ‘memory wall’, visitors shared memories of their favourite hidden places in London.
